Vale da Pinta Golf Course

Description

The course has been regularly used by various international tournaments and especially the European Senior Tour. The Vale do Pinta fairways meander their way through typical Algarve landscape with several holes now lined with residential homes. It is considered by many golfers as more challenging than its neighbouring sister course the Gramacho. Some fairways are tight to play, hilly and with testing doglegs, undulating greens, or water hazards, all added together they create a course with each hole showing character and a most enjoyable challenging round of golf.

Decent course but needs some on course marshalling

Played Vale de Pinta with my daughter - who is a beginner - late pm because at time of booking course looked empty and that suited us. Unfortunately, but through no fault of anyone, the course was busy. Couple of 4 balls in front of us were extremely slow and led to us coming off after 10 holes as we were waiting 5 mins for every shot. The course really needs a Marshall to keep on top of slow play. I couldn’t fault the welcome and the course was in good condition with a nice layout.

I really enjoyed the challenge of the course, but what ruined this round for me was two groups of three friends in front of myself (two ball) they were really slow and we were having to wait at least 10 minutes on each tee. I could not fault the staff at the course who were really good and very polite and accommodating. the round took 5 hours to complete. I am unsure if I would go back to this course.
