Description

The owners of the famous Quinta do Lago Resort boasts two championship golf courses, the North Course and the South Course. The North Course was upgraded in 2014 with a sizable investment to combine the past popular characteristics of the original layout and at the same time subtly improving the tactical decisions of the round. Visitors will encounter left and right doglegs, water hazards, strategically located bunkers and challenging well maintained greens. Although the pine tree lined fairways are generous the final challenge to a player's golfing ability will probably be on the undulating surfaces of the greens!

Hilly but beautiful

What a beautiful start to a week of golf in Algarve. The North course at Quinta do Lago is a tricky course with fast greens, but none the less a course I'd definitely love to play again. The whole setup on all three courses at Quinta do Lago is second to none, and I'll recommend to everyone who's going to Algarve to play golf, to try all three courses.

The course is excellent. On the downside, no map of the course is on the score card or on the tee box. There are few directional signs on the course . There is also very few drop kerbs to aid pull trolleys. Lastly I didn’t like the long pull up after the 18th hole
